Since the launch of EKATI+, BHP Billiton has made threemajor contribution announcements. Through EKATI+, $100,000 has been donated to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) towards the completion of a new animal shelter in Yellowknife, $700,000 was announced for the Yellowknife Homelessness Coalition’s new transitional home for women and $1.15 million over five years to the Breakfast for Learning program was kick-started with apples being delivered to every school in the Northwest Territories.
