Project Summary

A website developed with the most up to date technology. Modern design that takes care of web accessibility standards and works seamlessly on the most commonly used devices.

    Client needs

    • E-commerce incorporation to sell memberships online. These membership products should be created or edited by the client and added to any page on the website.
    • All of the content on the website should be easily edited by the client.
    • The PDF forms should be converted to online forms. Email notification should be sent to the client as soon as the form is submitted. The submissions should be easily accessible on the website with the use of an account.

    Approach

    Kellett Communication reviewed all the requirements to come up with initial development plan and wire-frames. Upon approval of the wire-frame, the team presented the detailed designs of the website along with technical functionality. Drupal 9 was the development platform,which is current, modern, very robust and can provide a simple and easy back-end system for managing all site content as well as any additional functionality.

    Results

    A new, modern and fully responsive design along with a robust yet easy-to-use content management system provides the client with an easy way to build out pages of rich content with a variety of different templates. Pages content can be built using a variety of static content, with templates for various formats of text and images, as well as dynamic content such as Google maps, embedded videos, forms and lists of formatted content such as exhibits.

    Integrated online payment using PayPal allows them to sell memberships and collect donations. Online forms allow users to submit booking requests for the various programs they offer. Overall it provides new and existing customers with more self-service features and thus the ability for the museum to engage with them more easily and conveniently.
