Located just 25 minutes from downtown from the Yukon’s capital city, Whitehorse, Takhini offers the best of both worlds – a lifestyle of peace, adventure and freedom lived in the wilderness, and easy access to the services offered by a cosmopolitan urban centre. The website needed to represent the same experience that people will get when they come to visit Takhini Hot Springs.

Approach
Kellett Communications reviewed all the requirements to come up with initial development plan and wireframes. Upon approval of the wireframe, the team presented the detailed designs of the website along with technical functionality. Drupal 9 was the development platform,which is current, modern, very robust and can provide a simple and easy back-end system for managing all site content as well as any additional functionality
Results
A stylish, modern, user-friendly and easy-to-navigate website built on a robust and easy-to-use content management system. With a variety of pre-templated content types, making it easy to add various different content from text to images to embedded videos and more, the client can easily add and maintain compelling content to help promote the new hot springs.
Integrations with third party booking tools such as Rezdy and CloudBeds allow users to book hot springs time slots and vacation property rentals, with the option to pay online. Administrators can use these tools to centrally manage their bookings, and enable future upgrades for guests to login to see and manage their own bookings.
As the Hot Springs expands it's services and facilities in the future, the website has been built to allow additional sites for those facilities so they can share functionality, some content if needed, and integrate with each other for a more seamless administrative experience.
